This scaffolders/rubbish situation at home is really starting to take the biscuit, the scaffolders have now decided, without asking, that my house is going to be their new cut through to the scaffolding up against the back of the house (treading in and covering the hall floor with dust and crap accordingly) despite them already having a through-way to the back that they've been using for weeks. And to do this they for some reason need to leave the street door wedged wide open at all times, leaving the son in the ground floor flats bike sitting in the hallway begging to be stolen, along with the houses daily postal deliveries.
In an act of what i am trying to convince myself is generosity (to stop myself going mad) the builders have 'helpfully' filled the hallway with plaster dust, sanded paint dust, sand and assorted small rubble that covers the hall floor to presumably give us the opportunity of making pretty patterns by spreading footprints of it all round our carpets.
Its got so that i don't like entering my own home at the moment, and all this because my housing trust decided my house needed an unnecessary new paint job that no one had any idea was coming or needed, giving us no warning or time to prepare.
So as well as asking us to leave our windows open for an unspecified amount of time for when ever they get round to painting them, we now have the worry of our street door left open and for much of the time unsupervised, yet now, despite my informing the housing trust that someone tried to break onto my house days after they put the scaffolding up they're asking us to leave our front door open so that can be painted at some point as well, fat chance! I'm understandably reluctant to leave my gaff in their hands, i feel it would be an open invitation to chancers on the look out for an easy target.
Phoning the housing trust yet again wont help me, as it is ive been waiting over a year for them to come round and fix my boiler properly, they weren't too bothered about me not having any heating or hot water for the whole of last winter so i cant see them jumping out of their seats to help me on this one.
As for rubbish problems they're still causing me...
