May I first apologise for over using that "Sounds of..." phrase, but it is a fitting one and it sounds good, I would also like to thank 'dortyhoor' for letting the Portobello blog use his you tube channel to put up videos of musicians and bands who, over the years have or had a musical connection to the area, hence the phrase. But apart from the name 'dortyhoor' which I am told was referring to the 'Father Ted' comedy show (a name that was a wee bit on the obscure side for most I imagine), the channel we were using was a bit weird for the average taste (even for me) judging by the comments it received that I read.
So, the Portobello blog has finally decided to get a you tube channel of its own, the name 'Gnottason' in the title 'Gnottason's channel' was used in memory of the areas first known people to settle ITA, who are known by history as the 'Sons of Gnotta', which is where the area got its name from, and it seemed a just a bit more fitting and relevant than an obscure joke about mad Priests on an isolated island in the west coast of Ireland.
As before, the new channel focuses on musicians and bands who for one reason or another have or had a connection with the area. The music and its musicians have a variety of styles which show what an influence this area has had over the years, despite the relativity small size of the place.
As well as the new channel, the blog will also show the occasional video itself.
So, thank you 'dortyhoor' for letting the Portobello blog have use of your channel for so long, and all the best with the 'end of the worlders', new world order and Illuminati watchers that seem to be attracted to you.
