Sheer coincidences can come in clusters that make them seem like they were fortelling real events, take these ones that relate to the new 'quote of the moment'.
The Biblical references were also reasoned to be real enough signs by a series of coincidences that made it all too real for some of the more evangelical members of Congress at the time, who were then excitedly expecting the Rapture to take them at any moment. These seemingly really fulfilled prophesies (to some) were............
Saddam had claimed to be a reincarnation of King Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadenezzer was the king who was invaded and beaten by the Moabs.
This new 'incarnation' was busy rebuilding the old city of Babylon, using bricks that, like in his previous kingship, had every fiftieth brick naming him and exalting his mighty works (the new work is in no way built to blend in with the original remains and don't look good).
When the war started the reborn Saddam Al Nebuchadnezzar and his almost, nearly rebuilt Babylon was beaten in large part by the Americans new super weapon, the 'Mother Of All Bombs' or in military terms 'the 'moab's'. The eight hundred hour long war (remember the "mission accomplished" scene?) was then stopped on the day the Jews celebrate their release from Babylonian bondage.
The only thing wrong with this Bible bashing cluster is ol' Dubya himself, the only time nutters like him get a Biblical mention is when they are jabbering, wild haired, goggle eyed loons being miraculously healed of their mentally degrading brain sickness' by one 'Jey of Naz' (innit).
How he thought that lead on to God enabling him of all people to be the anointed one, fated to topple the reborn King of Babylon I'm not sure, but Dubya seemed to think the Lord was working for him on and at his side at all times, an invisible friend if you will, like the kind young children have.
