The Pink Fairies feature in this months Uncut magazines latest wallow in the past. That mag has good bands in it, it's just its non stop harking back to some misty eyed musical past, every band is compared against others by "shades of...". and not as stand alone music. As for its smug knowingness about every song, every band and singer ever recorded, I'm not fooled.
It is a magazine for boring old muso farts if ever there was one, I would say it is worse than Mojo and Q in that respect.
Anyway this issue has a funny article with the Pink Fairies talking about the music scene around Ladbroke grove and Portobello road in the early 1970's.
