A couple of weeks ago my housing trust sent round the contractors to paint the outside of the houses in my street and duly put up scaffolding to aid the process, a few days after the scaffolders had gone and a few days before the painters arrived my flat gained some unwanted attention in the form of someone who had scaled the scaffolding and tried to force entry, thankfully the window locks held.
Seeing that someone had tried to get into my house via the scaffolding i rang up the housing trust and told them hoping that they might take some every day measures like alarming the scaffold, no such luck, instead a week later i received a note through my letter box asking me to leave my windows unlocked for an unspecified amount of time when i was out so that the frames could be painted.
Its good to know that the housing trust is in the hands of such capable people.
