POLICE BUST HARROW ROAD STREET DEALERS.

FROM OUR EYEWITNESS ON THE SCENE......

The Police successfully swooped on and shut down a group of well known street dealers this weekend in a side street off Harrow road near the Mozart estate.
The dealing had over time become quite well established, and was
THE POLICE, RIGHT- "GO GO GO"
attracting groups of up to seven or eight people at any one time who could be seen mooching around on the street corner waiting for the dealers to arrive. Almost every Saturday and some Sundays, the dealers would park up in the same place and brazenly operate out of the boot of their stationary car, sometimes for hours.

The highly lucrative illegal trade has been estimated to have earned the dealers sums in excess of forty pounds£ a days from the sale of exotic vegetables and occasional fruits to friends and family members, until that was, last Saturday when thanks to prompt Police action the trade was halted. A Policeman who was posted on the site to deter the dealers from returning to sell more funny coloured and oddly shaped Potatoes declined to comment.
