RBKC's BLATANT FALSE PROPAGANDA IN 'THE STANDARD'.

I was very surprised last Thursday to find an article in the Standard about the loss of Portobello road to developers, it looks like the bulldozers will be moving in pronto.
I was also stunned to read that the man from the RBKC planning department was try to paint himself as a defender of the area, he even tried to paint the council as being the little David in a 'David and Goliath' battle against big developers. The man spewed dung from start to finish and tried to paint the council in a totally innocent role as far as what is happening to Portobello, no mention was made of the promises made on paper which turned out to be worth nothing more than what you would rap a naughty TV advert puppy in, or the ever changing planning regulations that have been changed or 'reinterpreted' to suit the whims of the builders.
The article took up two thirds of a page and was so full of information that was to put it lightly 'bending the facts' that the man interviewed (I can't find the paper at the mo and can't remember his name) gave the public nothing but a thin tissue of dodgy propaganda.
The writer of the article was a bit more sympathetic towards Portobello though and at least mentioned the 'save Portobello market' Facebook page (that will turn the tide!), but sadly the tone of the article was not a good one.
